Magdy Fattouh

Magdy Fattouh is the founder of Egypt Land Tours, a licensed tour operator based on Al Haram Street in Giza, a few minutes from the Pyramids. He studied History at Cairo University and has spent more than twenty years in Egyptian tourism, moving from guiding and operations into designing the private itineraries the company runs today.

His work is the catalogue on this site: 37 multi-day packages, 27 Nile cruises and 42 day tours across Cairo and Giza, Luxor, Aswan, Alexandria, Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. Every trip is private and built to order rather than sold from a shelf, and the company runs them with its own guides and drivers instead of subcontracting to third parties.

He also writes the guides on this site — 37 articles covering how to plan an Egypt trip, when to go, where to stay and what to expect at each site. The aim is the advice a traveller would get from a local operator: specific, current, and honest about what is worth the time and what is not.
